Printing, copying and scanning
Multifunctional devices at RPTU in Kaiserslautern
Printing, copying and scanning is possible for members of the RPTU in Kaiserslautern using the multifunctional devices that are available in all library units in Kaiserslautern.
Guests are not permitted to use the multifunctional devices. Coin-operated photocopiers are available for copying in B/W (except for the Chemistry Departmental Library, Building 54).
Use of the multifunctional devices
Members of the university can use the devices via the chip card, from which the corresponding fees are debited.
The following steps must be followed when using the multifunctional devices for the first time:
- One-off registration on one of the multifunction devices to link the student card to the RPTU account. To do this, the chip card is placed on the sensor of the device, then you log in with your own RPTU account (user name + password).
- Top up the credit for printing and copying at the transfer machine in the foyer of the canteen (building 30, entrance 2). This will transfer the money from your Mensa card to your printing credit. The minimum amount is €10.
- Instructions for setting up the printers on your own computer (only necessary for printouts) can be found here: RHRZ instructions.
Print jobs can be sent to the multifunction device from any computer. The job can be retrieved and printed by placing the chip card on the card reader of the respective device.
