KLUEDO

Publication server

What is KLUEDO?

The university library offers to publish electronically generated and qualified documents on its online publication system KLUEDO (Kaiserslauterer und Landauer uniweiter elektronischer Dokumentenserver). This service is for university members of RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau only and free of charge. After publication, the texts are available worldwide on the internet and will be archived permanently by the library. The documents are indexed and made accessible in library catalogues and search engines.

KLUEDO was awarded the "DINI Certificate 2016 for Open Access Repositories and Publication Services" on April 12, 2017.

Reading recommendation (German only): Zeitgemäßer Open-Access-Publikationsservice für die TU. Dokumentenserver mit DINI-Zertifikat 2016 ausgezeichnet (Quelle: Unispectrum 3/2017, p. 24)

Advantages of Institutional Repositories

Other universities and research organizations also offer institutional repositories, so-called online publication platforms. Students and scientists may publish their own scientific documents (mostly PhD theses, articles). This service is solely dedicated to university members and completely free of charge. After the upload, all articles are available online worldwide and get stored the repository‘s long-term archives.

Uploading a preprint version of a paper which has originally been published in a closed-access journal or with a closed-access publisher by depositing it, is called the green road to open access - also known as self-archiving or green oa.

Help for authors and postgraduate students

If you are the author of a doctoral thesis or any other scientific document and want to publish your work online, you can do so by clicking on "Publish".

Information about the publication of your scientific work, embargo periods and much more can be found in the KLUEDO FAQ. Information on the obligatory submission of Ph.D. theses can be found here.

Important for third-party funding

Document servers enable scientists to publish their project-related work open access and thus easily comply with the funding guidelines of research funding organizations (e.g. DFG, BMBF).

Search Tip

All records from KLUEDO can also be found in Katalog+ of the university library.
