„Just ask!“  - The Central Information desk in Kaiserslautern is here to provide information and advice on services and offerings of the entire university library of the RPTU in Kaiserslautern. Our focus is on advising and supporting our users in their search for information in databases and the internet.

Information and advice

Information is our forte! We are here to support you with database and internet research of any kind. Our librarians will answer complex queries concerning your scientific work and provide support with technical problems and special concerns.

We will show you how to search the university library’s Katalog+ for books, journals and articles that are available as electronic full texts or printed versions.

If you are looking for additional literature on a subject, we will guide you through our extensive database offerings - from research to full text.

Document Delivery

We will advise you on the execution and processing of interlibrary loan orders (via the DigiBib) and literature orders from document delivery services (KLUB direkt, Subito). Transaction numbers for interlibrary loan orders can be obtained from the Central Information desk and from the department libraries.

Databases and Reference Works

Take advantage of the university library's wide range of databases in all subject areas. You can choose from various database types such as bibliographic databases, full-text, factual or image databases. Our entire offer can be found via our Database Information System (DBIS).

In addition, the library has a selection of printed reference works searchable via our Katalog+.
